Slitting is a necessary process in the production process of flexible packaging, and is the last process in the production of flexible packaging film rolls. Slitting products have an important impact on the use of customers. Different types of plastic films have different characteristics and slitting methods. In the slitting process, a variety of problems will occur, such as: PET common products are thin in thickness and high in strength, and are not easy to be stretched, compared with PP, PE and other film slitting method is different.

1. Longitudinal stripes

In the slitting process, a large amount of air is the main reason for the longitudinal stripes. One of the reasons is that the slitting speed is too fast, and the second is the limitation of equipment accuracy. After a long period of continuous use, the running accuracy of some parts decreases. Because the thickness of the plastic film itself is thin, it is more susceptible to damage during processing. To this end, the selection of high-precision parts and timely replacement, planned maintenance of equipment, is an effective way to reduce longitudinal stripes.

2. Staggered layers and irregular sections

For problems caused by small winding tension, increase the tension, and add appropriate amount of new magnetic powder to the clutch when necessary; The film itself generates static electricity, adhesion or drift, and the equipment is connected with electrostatic conduction equipment; Or due to the change of film width, the slitting speed slows down to avoid sudden acceleration or deceleration, adjust the roll tension to avoid air involvement caused by too loose; Pay attention to photoelectric tracking at any time during slitting, and carry out production according to operation procedures.

3. Exploded tendons

The bursting rib is an obvious bulge formed on the surface of the film roll due to the large accumulation of film thickness tolerance, which is mainly caused by the quality of the film itself. Slitting is only to improve local problems. In order to obtain good quality product performance, on the one hand, appropriate adjustments should be made during slitting, and on the other hand, the previous film forming process must be required to improve the quality.

4. Wrinkle

The pressure roller contacts with the film roll to apply pressure to the film roll, which plays a role of buffering the vibration of the film roll and preventing air from being involved in the film roll. When the diameter of the pressure roller is larger than the diameter of the film roll, the film and the pressure roller form a large wrap angle, and the air is involved to produce wrinkles; on the contrary, the air involved is less, and the film roll is more neat. Reduce the size of the pressure roller and choose a paper core with a large diameter.
